FAQ & ORDERING
Questions? Spill.
Everything you need to know before your first bite. Can't find it here? Ask me.
How do I order?
Pre-orders aren't open yet. Join the drop list on the contact page or follow @veganizedcbus and you'll hear the moment they are. Ordering details (how to pay, cutoff times, pickup windows) will be posted here before the first drop.
Do you ship?
Only within Ohio. Under Ohio's cottage food law, home-produced foods can only be sold in Ohio, so I can't ship or deliver out of state. Pickup and delivery options in the Columbus area will be announced with the first drop.
Can I find you in person?
Soon! The plan is to pop up at farmers markets around Ohio. Market dates and locations will be announced on @veganizedcbus and to the drop list first.
What does "This product is home produced" mean?
Ohio law requires that statement on every cottage food label. It means the food was made in a private home kitchen that is not inspected by the Ohio Department of Agriculture or a local health department. Cottage foods are still subject to the state's food laws and can be sampled by the Department of Agriculture.
Is everything really 100% vegan?
Every recipe is made without animal-derived ingredients: no dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin or similar. I check every ingredient label, but Veganized is not certified vegan by a third party, and I rely on suppliers' labels for what's in their products.
I have a food allergy. Is it safe for me?
Please read the allergens & food safety page and every package label before eating. Products are made in a home kitchen that is not allergen-free, so cross-contact is possible. If you have a severe allergy, I recommend not ordering.
How should I store my goodies, and how long do they last?
Everything is shelf-stable. Keep it sealed at room temperature, out of direct sun. Each label will list a best-by date; it's best to enjoy it by then.
Do you do custom orders or events?
Maybe! Reach out with your date and what you have in mind. Custom orders still have to follow cottage food rules, so they're limited to shelf-stable goods and Ohio pickup or delivery.
What's your refund policy?
Because it's food, all sales are final once you've picked up or received your order. If something is wrong with your order, message me within 48 hours with a photo and I'll make it right. Full details are in the terms of sale.
